Waiver and Release:
The Volunteer does hereby and forever release and hold harmless Treasure Paws
and its successors and assigns from any and all liability, claims, suits, and
demands of whatever kind or nature, either in law or in equity, which arise or may
hereafter arise, either directly or indirectly, as a result of the Volunteer's work for
Treasure Paws. The Volunteer understands and acknowledges that this Release
discharges Treasure Paws from any liability or claim that the Volunteer may have
against Treasure Paws with respect to any bodily injury, personal injury, illness,
death, or property damage that may result from the Volunteer's work, whether
caused by the actions or negligence of Treasure Paws, its officers, directors,
employees, other volunteers, vendors, agents, or otherwise. The Volunteer
expressly agrees that this Release is intended to be as broad and inclusive as
permitted by the laws of the state in which the volunteer activities occur.
Assumption of Risk:
The Volunteer understands that working at Treasure Paws may involve physical
activities that could be inherently dangerous, including, but not limited to, lifting,
sorting, moving heavy objects, handling donations, and working with the public.
The Volunteer hereby assumes all risks of injury, illness, death, and property
damage resulting from these and other activities associated with volunteering at
Treasure Paws.
Code of Conduct:
The Volunteer agrees to adhere to the policies and guidelines set forth by
Treasure Paws. Volunteers are expected to act with professionalism, integrity, and
respect toward customers, staff, and fellow volunteers. Any inappropriate
behavior, including but not limited to theft, discrimination, harassment, or misuse
of donations, may result in immediate termination of volunteer privileges.
Sexual Harassment Policy:
Treasure Paws strictly prohibits any conduct that constitutes sexual harassment
and will take appropriate action against any person involved in such conduct. Any
person who believes they have been subjected to sexual harassment should
immediately report the incident to the Executive Director or the President of the
Board.
Confidentiality Agreement:
Volunteers may have access to confidential information regarding donors,
customers, or operations of Treasure Paws. The Volunteer agrees not to disclose,
copy, or misuse any confidential information during or after their time
volunteering.
Photographic and Media Release:
The Volunteer grants and conveys to Treasure Paws the right to freely reproduce
and/or circulate any photographs or other recordings of the Volunteer for
promotional, fundraising, or other lawful purposes. The Volunteer shall not be
entitled to any compensation, including, but not limited to, any royalties,
proceeds, or other benefits derived from such photographs or recordings.
COVID-19 and Health Safety Acknowledgment:
The Volunteer acknowledges that volunteering at Treasure Paws may involve
exposure to communicable diseases, including COVID-19. The Volunteer agrees to
follow all health and safety protocols as required by Treasure Paws and assumes
all risks associated with potential exposure.
Termination of Volunteer Agreement:
Treasure Paws reserves the right to terminate the Volunteer's participation at any
time and for any reason, including but not limited to failure to adhere to the
organization's policies, misconduct, or health and safety concerns.
